Introducing… PREPARE HIM ROOM (2nd edition)
It’s lovely to enjoy the decorations and the laughter over meals that accompany this jolly season, but I know you are like me and want to lead your family into a space of reflection on Jesus.
I asked you what you wanted from Advent, and the response came that a guide through The Nativity and a reference to Bible Verses was important to you.
Here are my 2nd edition of the ADVENT CARDS.
Designed to lead you and your family through the entire Birth of Jesus (including even Gabriel’s encounter with Zechariah all the way to Jesus’ Baptism) in a RICH and IN DEPTH manner.
Also, in a memorable way that engages children!
Beautiful hand drawn illustrations and lettering for young children and teenagers to equally adore.
Starting from December 1 until December 25, each numbered wreath card can be flipped to reveal the next part of the story and Bible verses for you to enjoy reading together as a family.

WHAT IS NEW THIS YEAR?
- A NEW watercolour wreath!
- Much of the set has NEW BRIGHT colours, with select cards having more of a popping colour in between lighter cards (to break them up);
- An increased focus on the NAMES of Jesus as they pop up in the narrative (e.g. NEW Horn of Salvation, Prince of Peace and Son of God card – and more!);
- NEW Carol Cards! 10 extra cards to hang throughout the numbered cards or display separately. 10 different beautiful hymns/carols that have some of the beautiful words in an artwork on one side, and the rest of the lyrics on the other side. These will guide your family towards music in worshipping Jesus this Christmas. The names of Jesus in the lyrics are in GOLD. Discuss what the lyrics and the names of Jesus mean to you. See image for musician recommendations to accompany your singing time! Or just display these!
Bring the whole family around the Bible, as you read and chat through the Scriptures given for each card.

Each pack includes:
- 37 double sided beautifully printed thick silky Advent cards (11cm x 11cm squares);
- 25 are Numbered Cards. One side features an original watercolour wreath with a lettered number. The other side features the hand drawn narrative and lettering;
- 10 cards are CAROL CARDS;
- 1 instruction card;
- 1 title card;
- 1 NEW card: ideas for daily interaction with the cards;
- Display options: Jute string + 25 Natural wooden pegs AND/OR Handmade Wooden Stand by Haworth Woodworking;
- A Keepsake Box.
Read one daily on the lead up to, and including, Christmas (1 December – 25 December). Peg them up, and turn them over as you complete the day OR display one card per day, turning it around in the Wooden Stand. So many options for displaying!
However you use them, these cards will daily point you back to the story in chronological order.

These were such an amazing addition to our living room as not only a beautiful Christmas decoration, but also an important reminder of why we celebrate Christmas in the first place! The materials are such high quality, the designs are stunning, and the messages were so relevant. I would recommend buying both the pegs & twine as well as the stand; you can hang all the cards up and then take down a card and display the back of it each day!
